I don't think shutters are great for your house - I'm not expert at all - seems a good balance of the elements of windows where they are, etc....

Make sure your porch posts are "beefy" and your railings are too. Those post that are there now are way too small but I'm assuming they aren't the permanent ones.

I think shutters would be a great addition.

Hope you plan to terrace the yard. Landscaping will help ground the house.

Sorry, can't do mock-up. But NO shutters on double windows, shutters should be wide enough to cover windows if closed. Maybe shutters on the 2 single windows. What color is the roof? Why are the stairs on the side?

Avoid black on a residence especially a front door.

I would do a circular stairway to the front door on each side with black metal. I would not do planter boxes, that doesn't seem to match with the house to me. I would do a wood front door, not painted. And shutters on the two little windows.

to add horizontal and balance stairs with other, empty side: a metal - type porch with railing that starts from edge of stairs and extend across, creating actual small porch on other side?

I picture it stopping at base of, the last stair / so other side would only extend that far also [not extending to ends]

Do stairs basically go /point toward a garage?
