A simple Hoya Carnosa

I finally get to post some pictures of a beautiful bloom. To most it is not too exciting because it is just a common carnosa, but to me it BEAUTIFUL! A friend gave me a cutting a few years ago and this started my hoya addiction. Hopefully my others will follow suit.

I love it! Mine blooms a very light pink. I bought carnosa "snowball" because of its white flowers. No blooms yet though.

Good growing, Carolyn! I have trouble getting carnosa to bloom for some reason. Well, at least that particular clone. The reverted 'Krimson Princess' carnosa blooms easily for me for some reason, even though I can't get the actual KP to bloom. Go figure!

Thanks! I think the secret is that I moved it from an east facing window to the west window in my daughter's room when she went off to college. She always complained about how warm it is in there despite the air being on. Now I have her room filled with plants, and they have all gone crazy. My younger daughter asked if I was going to turn her room into a greenhouse when she moved out too. Sadly it faces east. LOL!

I think carnosa are beautiful in their own right, I think it is exciting waiting to find out which color it will be and the bonus is all the carnosa’s Smell like chocolate at least to me anyway. I have several carnosa all from different sources and all their colors are different. I hate it when someone says oh it is just a carnosa. Well you bloomed it so you should be proud of that fact. I think yours is beautiful!
