When I click on either my name or anyone else's name OR picture icon, it takes me to that user's profile. Clicking on the profile pic on the profile page once there does nothing but refreshes the profile page - without the message link. I had seen some help messages in the Using houzz forum where some were not getting the link but it eventually showed up.

Edit to clarify - I found an inbox but there is no link that shows up to "compose" a message.

Jenny, go up the page back to the top of a page, like click on Kelly's icon, see what you get.

Bob - tried Kelley's and I am seeing the white "message" box (yay) under the facebook/twitter icons. But not seeing it on your page.

It might be too soon down the page. Try a different persimmonbob somewhere else on a different post. We are still communicating.

Hey everyone, I just clicked on Bob's avatar and the option to message was there. It is right under the tweety bird and Face Facebook Icons top right. It says: Message' in a white box.

Mike, I can see the message button for you, but not for Bob.

I think it works for the people that follow each other.

Nah, it should work for all whether following or not. I checked Bob's and jenny's and I see the message button. Houzz has been quite wonky lately so may be give it time to propagate. Also I remember you to also change some privacy settings like whether you want members to contact you and such.

As a possibility of why the issue with you guys -Bob and Mike... I recall both of you earlier (last year?) tried out user account name changes before you switched them back to what they are right now. I can see tropicofcancer's "message" bar but still can't see Bob or Mike. So there might be something weird going on with your account profiles after the name updates and how that manifests into what they are displaying (i.e., maybe not in sync) and that may need to propagate through the site (they have been slowly merging the 2 website domains and it has been a big FAIL).

Maybe Houz blackball me for being nasty to some forum members, i probably deserve that. I'll be nice from now on. I got to mosey on. I'll find different ways to connect.

Bob, you can go to your profile, click "Edit profile" and click the arrow in one of the boxes, go to " Advanced settings ", scroll down and can pick and choose all your privacy, messaging and other settings. There are so many options there.

I am finally seeing Bob's "message" tag. Yay! Bob I sent a test message but have to head out too so will try to respond tomorrow.

I haven’t taken pictures of everything but almost all the plants are doing well right now (don’t they always look great in July?)

I am really impressed with the vigor of the Smith Red so far. Here’s a picture of its first real growth flush since I got it; it’s absolutely exploding with healthy looking new growth.

Jeez that growth on your Smith Red! Beautiful photos from everyone! My trees didn't start pushing growth until later July and even then I was busy preparing for my sisters wedding. I'm waiting on the August citrus thread to post an update on my Mckenzie trees:)

Btw Nancy, I meant to tell you and actually many others you sure starting to be very picky about the top of the line citrus’s choices, good show!!.

Hi sunshine, there's only one left due to my laziness during winter but that last one is finally putting out new growth after 8 months of nothing :) I will post photos for the August updates! I was thinking about your friendship tree recently so it was sad to see news that it hasn't been doing well. Hope it recovers before the warm weather ends this year

I really hoped that I would graft two more varieties on my Friendship tree this year, but it didn't happen. The tree got dieback in April and it set it back for one full season. Hopefully next year will do some more grafts on it.

I am sorry to hear about your setback re friendship tree. How many grafts are on it now?

^okitsu wase satsuma with the most new growth. Weeping leaves are supposed to be normal right..crossing my fingers. They looked a bit over hydrated from the rainstorms lately

^page, only new growth is those 2 branches on the top right. The different sized leaves throws me off but at least they're healthy

^ponkan, my current favorite beauty. New growth in a few places. The overall healthy shiny leaves are all Stan's work! I also have two babies from seeds nestled against the pot on the left. I believe one is an unknown mandarin and another is navel. Neither was polyembryonic

Vetch, that last picture, Ponkan you should straighten the trunck now while it is still possible.
