Questions about Loma Pear

Bought a bareroot whip of this variety. Is there anyone on here who is getting fruit from this one? What can you tell me about it? How large does the tree get? How many years did it take yours to start bearing? When does the fruit ripen? Is it good for fresh eating? Canning? How would you compare it with other varieties?

Thanks. I've read that and everything else I can find online. Was hoping someone on this board had some personal experience with this variety.

I would ask the folks from where you got it from. I have a few whips from I grafted to rootstock a few years back, it’s definitely hardy. Still have to wait for fruit for a while...
