Entryway Tile and Design Advice Needed

Looking for a quick fix to help this tile situation in my entry way. This tile runs down the hallway branching off into the laundry room and small washroom. the room at the end of the hall has a different color tile. Same size tile but ugly green color. It is so ugly. I'm thinking of painting right over it for a quick fix till we can renovate. Any suggestions? If painting over it, what color? In my head I like a glossy black but this area is so small and already dark. I am repainting the walls a light gray. BM Dove Gre

then I'd just paint it all one color, in a neutral you like. black will show everything.

you know, you could also do a stencil. I'm sure you've researched how to paint ceramic tiles?

where is the room w/the ugly green tile? i'm confused. you're showing this hallway. will this be painted at all?

Black would be too much I think after staring at this picture....the ugly green tile is in the room at the end of this hallway (yo can kind of see the lamp and couch back there. I want to paint all the tile downstairs including the back room.

I have - that looks way above my ability. painting the tile 1 color alone makes me nervous. I am wondering if I can take a lazy way out and put a wood looking vinyl/rubber tile right over this. I have enough clearance at my entry door..I just wonder if the grout lines would show thru.

I would first try a staining your grout the color of the tiles. The stain is cheap, and it might make the floor "disappear" more. Very easy to do. Then, add a couple of well-placed rugs and it might get you through till you can remodel.
