bathtub in main bathroom. If it's a choice between master and guest, I'd put it in the master. If I were a guest in someones home, I wouldn't want to take a bath, I'd want a shower...something short and fast. A bath is for a long relaxing soak...not what you are doing when visiting someone lol

I'm assuming your bathtub is a bath/shower combination. If so, most of our clients are opting for walk in showers in the master as long as they have a bathtub somewhere else.

I'd put it in the dumpster. Unless you are going to soak 4+ days a week in it, I feel it just takes up space which can be used for a bigger walk in shower, vanity or storage.

...unless you plan to have kids someday. hard to bathe little kids in a shower, let me tell you!!

Walk in shower in the MB is the priority. If you can't have a tub and a walk in, then just get the walk in and have the tub in a guest bath for being able to bathe kiddos or take a soak once in a while.

It depends on the set up of your house. We have a tiny master bathroom, with only room for the shower. The only other bathroom is in the hall, and that serves as both a guest bathroom and the bathroom for the other two bedrooms. That one has a tub (which we are replacing during remodel). I would not go for a shower there because we need it to bathe kids and I like the occasional bath.

I would put a tub in the guest bath. I want my own space and don't want to share it with my kids bath toys

now with doing a claw foot tub shower combo would you want to tile up the wall that surround it or just paint them and use a good shower curtain with liner

Use hardieboard, red guard, and tile it so you don't have issues or have to stress about the kids splashing the walls. ..
