I just opened a bag of orchid bark and there are tiny black flies coming out of it.

I was going to just put a piece of fruit nearby to see if they'd flock to that, but then I thought perhaps there are eggs in the bark and if so, I don't want to re-pot my orchids with that.

Am I better off ordering the bark online - say through Amazon? I bought this bag from Lowe's and it was sort of humid in the bag when I opened it.
