I like that color but I can understand wanting a change. What color is the undertone in your siding? That would be helpful in determining what colors might work.

We were looking for a 'Wow' colour. Front faces north so the door receives little or no direct sunlight. Sometimes a change is good and if the current colour works, I'll just put on a fresh coat. As for the undertones, I'll check and get back. Would a close up photo work? thanks. appreciate it.

Following along with grapefruit's suggestion of Pumpkin, you could go with any orange or orange/red front door and your existing trim and siding colors.

I would paint only the door. Paint the sidelight white, like the windows. If you can paint the grilles do that.

I like the current door color, but pretty much every color looks good on your house. Pick your fave and go for it.

I always admire groveraxle's ideas, they are great! Let me add another idea. What about adding drama with a black door?

siding has green undertone. I apprecaite everyone's input. I went ahead and painted the 'frame' pure white. Was that a good idea? Do I keep the vertical strip white or paint it the same colour as the door? Sidelight white or door colour? My sense is if I paint the vertical strip same colour as door; entrance appears larger. Still torn whether to keep same colour on door. (I painted the trim (2 panels) to the right). Again, thank you for your suggestions.

I'm not sure that the white trim works in this specific case. It may, but to my eye it is not harmonious.

Have you thought about Benjamin Moore Sangria? Or one of the other orange or red colors above for your door and sidelight?

I prefer the door and trim the same color. White trim makes it look kinda choppy.
