Carolina Reaper they are keep growing, no sign of flower buds, many of my plants like this one.

Should I prepare for overwinter? Are they too late for this season?

Flowers are probably another month away at that stage. I'm sure you'll get fruit setting before bringing them in October. Last year I brought in my chili because it had many flowers and green fruit in October so I dug it up from my garden and brought them inside. Most of the fruit turned red and some of the flowers tried to set new pods but I ended up throwing it out because it had some bugs.

Five years old C. Chacoense Wild Chili. This year it has more flowers than before, it had couple of pods in the previous years. This season I cut off the bud many times and changed to a bigger pot.

The overwintered ghost issue looks like BER.

I think so.

Recently we had very hot weeks and a couple of times I saw the leaves were withered and the soil were almost dried. About 4/5 pods I got this problems. I will remember this BER and thank you for the information.

The overwintered Ghost this season some of the pods colour change from green to yellow and red. This is my first time experience.

I do not have any plan. Just I am addicted on growing chili.

I have 5 years old dried chili ghost, trinidad scorpion, fatali and habanero as well as a lot of pickle. I am not addicted on eating very hot chili, I eat fresh chinense 200.000 - 300.000 SHU they are some kinds of appetizer to me.Over this SHU is not usually I eat because I hate after eating consequence.

The reason I grow chili is I feel better when I see healthy chilli plants and taking care of them is becoming a very relaxing hobby. I like to grow from seed it is more enjoyable than growing garden center chili plants.

I do not have any background of growing vegetables or any plants in fact. All my neighbours growing flowers but I am the only one growing chili. Accidentally I started growing chili, and I have learned a lot from the gardenweb forum members without them I may not be able to grow chili. Many of the forum members have enough knowledge of giving advice and guidance, many of them are also very good at giving motivation and hope. I cannot remember very well how did I find gardenweb hot pepper forum but I remember those forum members who helped me a lot.

I started thinking about the next season.

I do not know the name of this disease or disorder of chili leaves. I have seen it before and I found some of my plants have these leaves. I do not see any problems to the plants.

Many of my plants have a lot of big pods but more than half of them are not yet ripe and mature. Weather forecast said "Summer weather could return here" I hope if we have a couple of hot sunny weeks can make all these pods ripe and mature.

I do not use grow light this time. I am planning to overwinter most of the plants because they are very healthy.

I never have a lot of brown/chocolate Ghost before. Now I realize that brown/chocolate Ghost are more aromatic than other C.Chinense peppers I grow. Since I put the brown/chocolate ghost pepper inside the room smell like a chili storage room. Test and aroma are also very much influence by the growing conditions such as soil, climatic condition and fertilizer we use.

I used plastic bags to prevent fungus gnats.

When they have some new branches I will remove the plastic bag.

Almost time's running out. Some of the peppers ripe late indoor are not hot like the others ripe outside.

Fatali harvested, only I have Rocoto they are outside and they do not have problems at 4 C at night.

For 2019 I use this lamp as propagator I tried two brown Ghost seeds I harvested this season and other seeds are not chili. Usually we use this lamp for outside. Now it is a propagator/small green house, it also keep my room warm.

Two different size yogurt cups are better quality than the small seedling pots available here so I use it. I made a lot of holes in the top cups to drain water. The lid is also a lot of small holes.

Today I harvested Rocoto De Seda. Night the temperature outside is about 1 C day time is about 3 C. Still they are not dying, I cut down all the branches for for overwinter. As far as I experience Rocoto is the best and easiest to grow pepper to our climate.

It is the end of the season for me the time was almost running out.

Wow, lucky you. My growing season ended about 3 weeks ago. I harvested all the green peppers and let them change colour indoors. I already roasted most of my peppers to make chili powder. The healthier looking peppers I put in a contained in the fridge and I'll eat them as I go.

I've never overwintered peppers like you, I might try next year. Usually I just grow from seed a few months before bringing them outside. By that point, they're pretty big.

I will wait the color change too and then I will make powder. I do not know what is the best for Rocoto, once I did pickle but not so good. Most of the peppers I dried and vacuum packed for storage. Still I have some fresh Fatali, wild chili and Snow White. Many of the Fatali color changed indoor but they are not so hot. Ripe one I cannot eat one whole pod but the indoor color changed I can eat about 4/5.

This is my first time overwintered a lot because the overwintered plants produced a lot of pods this season, I did not see the differences. C. Chinense has no problems to keep about 5 years, one of my Ghosts is 5 years old it produced a lot of pods this season. On the other hand I do not like to abandon healthy plants. It could be a kind of experiment, next season I'd know the result.

I may start from seeds for C. Annuum, such as Lemon Drop, Jalapeno and Joe's Long Cayenne.

So that discoloration looks like a fungus, there’s probably a spray you can get it’s not powdery mildew or one I recognize immediately, though it reminds me of blossom end-rot in tomatoes, and it’s not going to go away on its own. If you want to get specific find the agriculture extension office in your city, or the master gardeners, they should know. Make sure you wipe your clippers with bleach between plants to prevent spread! When you keep peppers like this you have to treat them a bit like trees not annuals in preventing the spread of disease when pruning. Good luck, but really this is something you need to address - either by treating or getting rid of the affected plants.
