From the description, it seems to me it was S. parva. I have 3 different S. parva, but they all have narrow leaves (1.5 cm or about 1/2 inch) and they are quite easily distinguishable from S. dooneri (has shorter and wider leaves). On the photo S. dooneri on the top and S. parva (3 copies, including S. parva 'White variegated') on the front

Stush, I've always wanted a masoniana just because of its massive width, that's why I couldn't help but pay so much attention to these in the greenhouse. It's kind of fun to hear people ask what a plant is and watch their response when you say it's a snake plant. Most people don't realize that there are varieties other than regular trifasciata or trifasciata 'Laurentii'.

So here is the plant that I had questioned...

As you can see, it had just finished flowering just like the majority of the others he had potted up. Sorry for the horrible photo quality, I'm probably going to have to replace my phone soon, the camera on it used to be great. The roots on this guy almost reminded me of a liriope, circling the container and sending up a sprout here and there. I will post a follow up after it decides to grow a little more heavily.
