Ductless/Mini-Split AC vs Traditional

I'd like to move my traditional AC/Heater unit to a different place in my house to create an open floor plan. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a good spot for it. One company suggested that I go with a mini split system. If you've transitioned from traditional AC to mini split or have considered it, can you please share your thoughts? Have you regretted your decision? I'm concerned about efficiency and aesthetics.

Definitely, the split system is a great thing. Europe uses them a lot. It's also a beautiful addition - and no hidden problems with ducts like regular ACs have sometimes. They also more efficient Than the regular ACs. They are stylish and beautiful and you can control each of them separately, even if you'll buy one system or several separate systems.

They are more efficient, usually.

Aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder.
