It made it onto my want list this year, but now there's no sign of it. Perhaps I removed it? I forget when/where I saw it but most likely Wade and Gatton. Now that I see Ken's pics, its going back on the list!

Now I remember I saw it in Holland at Hosta World and couldn't bring it home.

So how does TC works? As in no ability to copy at all or % off type just too high?

Did growers found better way to TC in Holland or it is division propagated?

It's a commercial risk to the nurseryman.

The labs charge a fee to do the work and present X number of plants that were asked for.

There is always a risk that a percentage high or low will not be correct to type.

Jan Van den Top told me of his experience with Big Kahuna.

350 plants produced, only 1 was correct. An expensive plant !

We all know sports occur naturally, how many of us have had a plant sport in our collection and if we have was it different to anything else already out there.

Jan introduces a lot of plants that are tc. sports, ie, didn't come true in the process but are different enough to be marketable and popular. They also have to reproduce successfully in the tc. process.

In answer to the sunlight question, it gets early morning and late afternoon sun and in full shade for the rest of the day.
