Select the big mature ones you can find and raise/keep them in a plastic take-out container set up like a mini bin. A 6" diam. container can house about 100 worms.Cut a couple of holes in the plastic lid and be careful with feeding, i.e. not too much until you get the feel how much they can process. Remember, if things go bad, they have no place to run, especially in this heat.

I just bought a container of ENC from a bait shop to experimen. It contained 30 large worms. After 2 weeks I found about 8 cocoons. I want to see how long it takes to double my herd. The only thing I have been feeding is my worm crack, and they love it.
