What are your other colors in the condo? You would want the walls and spindles to work with any other color you have nearby.

The steps look purple-y, so for your wall color, try a gray with a purple undertone like Abalone (2108-60) by Benjamin Moore. I would do the rails and spindle in a cream that's similar to the tile floor. If you think the baseboards are going to take a lot of abuse, then paint them the wall color. Get the floor tile professionally cleaned (and the rubber steps, too), then match their off white color for new paint. There will probably not be any disagreements. For the damaged corners, buy some long corner protectors at the hardware store.
