Go for neutral bedding and then layer in your accents and purple. Choose purple art work and frame it in silver. Purple pillow shams and a purple throw. Use two or three shades of purple to add some wow to the room.

Check out designerliving.com. They have soo many comforters etc. I just got one from there I love and they discount. I had no problem with my order. I have the comforter saved on Pinterest on my Bed and Bath board and I have other sites I pinned. I also have a Croscill comforter - they are quality and they have a website. Macy's also frequently have good selections. I do not know how sto attach pics on here from the sites but they are great sites.

I think silver and purple sounds lovely. Might depend on if you have a man in your life too. Sounds romantic to me. I think what you choose depends on if you have children or pets b/c you will need to have durability with regard to fabric if so.

I dont think it could tolerate a lot of rough wear but it is in my guest room. My husband calls it "girly" but I raised two sons and I am soooo finished with plaid.

There are great choices for your space. First you need to decide how bold you want to go. And next you need to have some idea of the purple you like.
