Moni, What an awesome trip you're having! I'm glad you give yourself a day off here and there to rest. I love those plums. Our wild plums here at our place are yellow like that, although most the other wild plums around us in our neighborhood all ripen to red.

Sounds like a once in a lifetime adventure...I hope she truly enjoyed it.

I think she is having a blast. It seems like her knees are holding up better than they did on her last big bicycling adventure, so that is a plus.

18 kilometers and I will have 3000 show on my speedometer! But am stuck at least till tomorrow around 1:30 pm, when a new tire for me should arrive.

Oh, I'm behind on the blog. I think I haven't read since Monday. I need to catch up. Moni, thanks for sharing the photos of your journal with us. I hope the tire arrived and that you're able to finish the trip at the planned time. I'm amazed at all the gardens and plants you've shared in photos, and the buildings and outdoor art as well!

Kim I am looking for a ride along next July. Nope, not on a bike! Thinking car trip to Michigan to see the Lavender Maze. It would be a GREAT way to escape some local heat.

Dawn, no touring tire to be found nearby. Bejan has to go to Belgrade today, and thinks there is an open (according to the Internet) bike shop. He will see if he can find what I need. He has my wheel along.

i am considering some alternatives...but am still ever so slightly hopeful.
