Bathroom Wall Paint

Hi All, would really appreciate your help. I have to paint my bathroom walls and although the color now, I think goes well, I would like to try something different. Maybe going toward a gray? No? Yes? Maybe? Or should I paint the same color?

Thank you, Evelyn

If you think the color goes well now, why do you want to change it?

Not sure if I responded to this? I think I did but I don't see it here. I'm thinking about updating my kitchen and other rooms in the 1st floor of my home which is where this bathroom is. I'm thinking about going with whites and grays and was thinking of the flow but I guess this bathroom should stay as is. Although, I have to repaint anyway cause I painted 10 years ago and some areas look dirty. If I was going to paint I thought I would change it. Any thoughts?

Great Idea! Taking tile to store :)

Whites and greys aren't going to work with the finishes in your bathroom. You may want to rethink that color scheme for the rest of your house as well.

Are there any taupe grey schemes that will blend?

    I love this!!

Taking a sample of the tile you have to match the color and changing the lighting are great ideas. - The taupe grey scheme could work, if you go with a warmer tone grey like an Abalone or Grey owl. If you find one you like and it goes with you tile, do a test patch of the color and see if you like it in the new lighting. You could also take the window treatment to blend the paint color with it and the tile. Or consider getting a new one that matches the new paint and might make it look more like your inspiration photo.

    Hi All,

After much contemplating, and also nursing a bad shoulder, I'm looking at Pale Oak (BM OC-20) and Natural Linen (BM966) both of these paint colors are in my pictures. The Pale Oak, although beautiful, I feel is too white for the marble. I'm considering the Natural Linen. Just a little brighter then the Bleeker Beige currently on the walls. I think will brighten the bathroom up nicely. What do you all think?

Hi Evelyn, I went from bm bleecker beige to bm cedar key in my living area and I love it. It seems a bit more neutral than natural linen, and a bit darker than pale oak. It’s an easy color to live with. (I am not a greige person.) You might want to take a look at cedar key. You can get a 3x4” swatch of cedar key at the bm paint store.

Here is a wall half painted with cedar key on top and bleecker beige on bottom. (I am going to cover the bottom with wainscoting.) I adjusted the colors a bit to display on the ipad pro, so you might want to download the pic and calibrate to your bleecker beige wall. Hope this helps. Sheen is pearl, regal select.

What is nice about this is that it is neutral, but provides enough contrast with the white woodwork to make it stand out. The bleecker beige is much more saturated and reads as red/yellow next to cedar key. I hated the bleecker beige after getting cedar key on the wall.

(My pic looks yellow as posted but the color does not look yellow on my walls in natural daylight.)

Thank you ! Cedar Key looks really nice. I’m definitely going to check it out !

In your last posted picture, with your paint samples near the door frame, the top on looks too pinkish. I like the intensity of it though. Find a better color match for your room. The cedar key might be it. I'd like to see it up on the wall.

I just looked up all your colors on the BM web site and they all look good. The Pale Oak is very light. I called the Natural Linen looking pink on a previous post, but on the BM web page it doesn't. What is the tile you have in the room? It is natural Travertine? Travertine can read pinkish sometimes.

IMH, if the tile reads pink, I think a pink leaning paint might work the best. A green leaning paint will make the pink pop. And of course there is the lighting, lol, always a factor.

I like all your options as far as colors go. Looking forward to seeing samples in the room.

Pale Oak to far left. Natural Linen (top by window) Pale Oak (bottom by window)

TOP Natural Linen BOTTOM Pale Oak

Bathroom Wall & Floor tile are same.

    Vanity counter top is dark

Suggestions? Still struggling with this but obviously in no rush :) I'm still going to look at Cedar Key

    Thanks!!!!

Hi. Gray color will also look great. I can provide my opinion in this matter as I am also planning for interior painting. I checked the interior painting San Jose professional's work after they did interior painting at my friend's house. They provided the best services and the painting gave a new look to her house. I will also hire these professionals.

You can also contact experts and give a new look to your bathroom.

Ignore the mess on the counter as we are having electrical work done...just did BM natural linen in this guest bath. This room gets no natural light so we wanted to avoid a grey. The shower tile has greys and warm tones so we could have gone either way. Your shower tile is key to selecting the right warm tone for your room. A true ‘grey’ won’t work for you.

Natural Linen looks beautiful in your bathroom! Unlike mine, I'm not seeing any pink. BTW where is your mirror from? love it!

The organic shaped one is from West Elm and the round one above the vanity (in the reflection) is from Rejuvenation.
