Omg that first flower is amazing! So the second pic is how it faded?

Thanks for the pics. Interesting to see the before and after shots of the same flowers. I'm not really very experienced with growing Adenium, but is this problem with fugitive, fading color pigmentation, typical within hybridized Adenium? Are reds and purples noted for pigment-fading blossoms?

The faded wine-red/purple-brown combo is, you're right, not very attractive. Hopefully the plant will stabilized in the coming years, and produce blossoms with non-fading pigments. I guess it's a crap-shoot.

I found that the second year blooms can look different from th first. It's like the plant is more mature to handle the energy from the blooms

Some of the darker color are very prone to fading. It's so sad!!!

Wow, that’s a huge difference! I’ve also noticed that dark red and purples fading kinda ugly in hot weather :( but bloom beautifully again as weather cools off. Amazing flower on a first picture, I’m sure you will get many more of those! :)
