Looks good, Lucky!! I agree with Steve - I unwrapped my graft after 3 weeks, but wrapped it back up, including the rubber band, for another 2 weeks to be sure.

By "healed" do you mean successful? If so, it looks to have been successful; but it is not even close to being "hardened", meaning it has created new "bark" and can support itself.

Successful, yes. Not healed as in good as new, of course! Just wondering about taking off some/all of the protection and binding. It was covered with plastic wrap, as I don't have parafilm or grafting tape.

I undid my bud grafts after two weeks. They were good. Waited another week before chopping off the rootstock top to force the bud into growth. But bud grafts probably heal faster than cleft.

2 weeks 3 days for my New Zealand lemonade on sour orange roots.

The light shines on the graft 16 hours after sunset to give the bud more light to force it.

I will leave the bag on loosely until the bud grows. I'll snap the trunk over to force more growth and will cut the trunk off when the scion is bigger than the original tree. This late in the year it is possible I will not put the tree in sun light until next spring. The tape will stay on for at least another month. That is what I do when 1 of my 50 graft tempts actually take hold.
