Hi Vondolls, What other colors do you have going on in the house, specifically that you can see from that room?

Vondolls, we need your help so that we can assist you with this color choice. I like Darzy's suggestions of red as I see in something on the table to the right of your desk.

But for all we know, that may be your least favorite color and you just happened to have that red item and hate it! So, your wall could be red, or the green of another item I see in the photo or any or 1,460,076 other colors.

Well perhaps I exaggerate, but you see the problem we have. We need some guidance from you as to what colors you actually like and may have used within sight of this room, as Emily suggested.

I have quite a bit of red in the house; red and gold are favorites. One of the downstairs bathrooms is already red, so I'm afraid of overdoing it.

Really, anything goes with such a neutral base.

I like Darzy's suggestion, and another alternative would be to look closely at your floor tile and pick up a brown about two shades darker than the tan in the tile.

Is that your work area in the picture? If so, what are the colors you find most soothing? Maybe a dove gray, light blue, green, any of which that may help you relax.

How about blue?

While you do have some red in the house, I do not see any red walls, and since we are only talking about one wall, you could well go red. However, you could also do a 3' horizontal red stripe across the wall. Or even more fun could be a diagonal stripe, if this room is removed from your other more traditional spaces. If it's not, I'd go for one color or a horizontal stripe. Also consider a golden wheat tone for the wall.
