Yes I am in Illinois also. It is inevitable. You will get blight and Septoria most likely at some point. Preventative spraying when the plants are young with fungicides on a regular basis will greatly help.

I should add that, sure, might as well plant next year in the same bed, but you KNOW you will need to use fungicides. Nearby beds will be similarly affected. As noted, use fungicides early and regularly. Don't wait for the symptoms to appear. By then it is largely too late.

My tomatoes do not look like thatat all. I had a fungus for the first time and it really took over my plants. I have small tomatoes but not like those. I cut the diseased foliage off and sprayed. The plants look better but worse than I ever had before. My tomatoes in the raised bed have always done great before. Next year I will be armed and as soon as I see one ugly leaf I’ll remove and spray the plants. I would like to thank everyone for the help. Sometimes the website is weird while I am on and the “say thank you” is not there for me to use. I do. Or want to appear ungrateful. My zucchini and cucumbers are still going strong with no fungus. They are in containers so hopefully they don’t catch that awful fungus. I am so disappointed this year with my tomatoes I’ll be pouring boiling water on the bed in fall. Haha

No. If you wait until you see symptoms of fungal infection, it's too late to spray. You spray as a preventative. I think people have some success in controlling already started fungal infections with fungicide, but you won't make it go away that way.

So what is the best thing to spray and do I start as soon as I plant out next spring? I have never used anything for any type of fungus. I guess I should feel lucky for that. I think I better get in the habit of mulching sooner. That should help.

I used only Daconil for years, and now I alternate a copper fungicide also., spraying every week to 10 days depending on the weather. Since you are in Chicago, there is probably no need to spray until July. Just my opinion. When I was in Zone 5 the weather was usually cooperative in May and June, and I didn't start thinking about spraying until later in the season when fungal and blight problems happen. No problem spraying earlier though. Spraying at plant out is a bit unnecessary though, but can't hurt.

I agree, and do the same. Daconil alternated with copper. If it gets you in the habit, yes, spraying immediately after plantout is OK. But very little to spray then. Mulch will help, but it won't be the solution. Many of the spores are just airborne, and float in from other beds.
