I think getting a standard free standing 36" fridge, probably counter depth, is the most rational choice. IMO at 36" it's hard to justify the expensive of a built-in or integrated model, but if that's still your preferred route, integrated are generally more expensive and slightly smaller in capacity than a built-in but look far better when paneled than built-ins do. In stainless, the visual difference is much more into personal preference sort of territory.

I have Thermador columns (integrated/paneled) and I like them, but if I spent $7-8k on their 36" french door and got it in stainless, I think I'd have regretted that compared to a much cheaper freestanding unit. Subzero and Miele are also popular choices.

If you are going for the more expensive models, there are different ways you could configure it... for example 36" all fridge + freezer drawers or 36" fridge/freezer + fridge drawers.

Just paneled fridges look silly. If you do built in, get stainless. Otherwise, pony up for the fully integrated.
