Re-doing attic bathroom after water damage

A water line caused damage to this bathroom so that the floor will need to be replaced and the walls repainted. The plumber pulled the toliet in order to install a new shutoff valve. There are two layers of peel-n-stick tiles that will be removed and a new floor will need to go down. It's an attic bathroom, so it's low and very warm in the summer months.

I need suggestions for paint color and a new flooring material that will stand up to the high heat and humidity. I don't know how to decorate for this long narrow space, especially since there isn't a lot of natural light. There is a lot of wood cabinetry and an old formica countertop that is white.
