What does your countertop look like?

What material are your counters? Given that all the choices are marble it really comes down to preference. The 1st is the most timeless. The 2nd and 3rd are very similar. What's the debate?

The first\wider brick is what I would choose. The wider will carry you longer. Those skinny tiles are a fad and on their way out. Unfortunately the color does not work with your cabinets in the pic of them by the sink, on my screen anyway.

sorry the countertops are black granite... this is the other side of the kitchen... you can kinda see the counter under the cardboard.

If I had to pick one of those, it would be the subways at the top.

I should also mention that we're open to suggestions to any other options

I agree with Sophie. Not sure any of those work with with your floor, which is a warm color. Maybe something in a white that matches your cabinets?

You need something with some warmth in it. Black granite is about the only natural stone that looks good with more natural stone. And since you like the marbles, look at something in Crema Marfil. This is beveled, which also adds some subtle interest. It’s not holey or pink like travertine, and has a smoother more sophisticated look.

    Or somethingbin a COLOR!

With some color on the walls too.

I like the top one. On my monitor the color of that one is warm enough for your floor (it looks a slight beige/yellow next to the cardboard).

That blue tile Sophie suggested would be fantastic.

You are ignoring the warm tones of the floor with a marble tile. It's a lot of floor, and I wouldn't add even more beige with a tile that matches the floor. I think it's also lacking pattern with the floor appearing as a solid as well as the counter. Take a floor tile with you to the tile stores.

What is the paint color in the kitchen and dining area?

this is looking out from the kitchen to the dining room... walls are light grey through out

What a beautiful kitchen! I love the white cabs with the black granite. I agree with everyone about the bottom two tiles -- not a timeless look. I would skip those. I love the idea of just a basic subway tile; and I am *sort of* agreeing with the notion that the cool tones aren't exaatcy lining up with your warm colors. But it's really hard to tell in the photos. So this is what I would do: (1) check out walker ZANGER subway tile. They have some really cool subway tiles that are just a little different than your basic subway (looks sort of hand-cut and not that much more expensive than just good old basic subway. I used that in my kitchen and LOVED it. (2) check out just basic super cheap white subway tile. I think that would actually work beautifully. (3) and yes, explore the idea of bringing in some color. I really like the aqua-turquoise color that somebody suggested. Bottom line: go basic subway tile (not the thin shapes). I also hate to be a contrarian but I don't think crema marfil would work with your black countertops and gray walls. Hopefully this is helpful. Good luck. Oh...final tip -- go check out younhouselove.com. They get super specific about tiles they use (and paint colors, etc) so you could probably get some good ideas there.

Oh.,.one final idea - try white greek thassos marble. That has cooler tones and is basic white and won't fight with anything or anybody. Expensive but lovely.

Top one ...if its from lowes I have pictures I can post. Be very choosy about them lay them out and make sure colors from sheet to sheet will blend well

What about an encaustic tile? I think that a pattern would provide a nice punch to your kitchen. Here’s a black/white option, but you could do a more subtle color variation, too.

I think the problem is your floor. It's too bad you just didn't run the wood flooring into the kitchen. But I'm not sure anything "beige" is going to look any better.

Do you have a photo of the floor tile or a link to the product?
