Fiddle leaf fig is dying—help!

My fiddle leaf fig is dying. It was a single stalk with leaves up to the bottom, but they gradually fell off. In the last couple of days it started drooping :(

I am watering it once a week, when the soil is dry up to an inch below surface. I was also misting it every 2-3 days. It’s near a west facing window, away from drafts.

What is going wrong? What should I check for?

No need to mist this plant, and misting is ineffectual anyway. You're seriously over-watering an over-potted plant.

There are many threads about Ficus Care, and FLFs in particular, over at the houseplant forum.
