    Do you need privacy because I do not see the traditional one doing that. But I like the simplicity.

    Just my thoughts...I like the simplicity look but think some height above the windows ( drapery rod set higher above window-and maybe some panels that are not fastened tightly back) would balance the top with the bottom of the wall better.

    Both styles are nice! The simplicity seems more modern, with more angles. The traditional style softens the look. The furniture and fixture you have over the table says traditional/transitional to me..Do you gravitate toward traditional or modern/simplicity throughout the rest of the house?

    That is why I was asking what she needs the covering for, because I think that depending on what she needs something else will work or a combination of both.

    For a simple clean look, the first option. For heavier or traditional look the second option.

    Yes the rest of my house is traditional. I do not need privacy as there is woods behind my house. Thank you everyone! Attached are pics of the kitchen that attaches to the room as well as the great room

    I made a quick rendering of option #2 with another version of stationary panels to soften up the wall yet preserve the view. Hope this helps some. You have a lot of options that could work with your space.
