Not sure about junipers but creeping phlox is sold in six or eight packs? around here early spring at lowes. They normally have tons of it and end up puttting much of it on clearance.

In my area the big box stores have junipers. You can also wait for end of season sales, but there might not be much of a selection left and they could be in poor condition.

For the phlox, I'd wait until spring and see what was available locally (unless somebody has them on sale sooner) Around here, creeping phlox is often sold in inexpensive 3 inch pots. For creeping junipers, I'd look at Musser Forests.

Gardenho &saypoint- thank you for that reminder, I think most of the places near me have sold out but maybe some of the smaller and lesser known nurseries may still have extras they're looking to get rid of.

Madgallica- I just checked out their website it looks awesome! Do you happen to know how big the pots are when they arrive? The prices are too good to be true for anything of medium or large size lol

Musser's plants are tiny. I bought their creeping juniper two years ago and it's healthy but still tiny. The bare root winterberry and rhododendrons were so small that I've lost track of most of them. If you go this route, I'd suggest potting them up to let them get larger before planting out unless it's in a very managed and mulched area.

Phlox is only sold in gallon containers here at $8 a pop. That's not a lot, but it sure would start hitting my pocketbook if I had to buy junipers on top of it. I wish you luck! Maybe you could buy three or so and divide them? Just a thought.
