New Schefflera Drooping Away From Center

I purchased this dwarf Schefflera three week’s ago. At that time, it’s largest branch was completely erect, the leaves were a beautiful green, and it had several new buds that had just burst out. When I brought it home, I noticed what appeared to be scale insect. I gave it a good spray with a three in one and kept outside in my balcony until it is free and clear. Since the first day of spraying it, it has become quite sad looking, as if in shock but not quite. The leaves are now dropping towards the ground and the tallest branch has managed to go limp. Overall, I hope it is healthy but there does seem to be something happening to it. It is my first Schefflera but not my first plant. It is not receiving direct sunlight but instead very bright indirect. Should I move it to the sun? I am afraid of burning the leaves. I have full south sun in my home. I have included pictures. Any advice would be appreciated.
