Kitchen in newer home

Will have cherry wood cabinets with black over wash, cherry wood floors & dark blue-gray quartz countertops, black appliances which opens to a great room. Alas all my furniture is lighter oak & have area rugs using navy blue/red to burgundy color! Will paint ceiling, trim, doors white but more suggestions? Will extend wood floors to great room, entertainment piece is not mine

Love that kitchen! There is no law that says everything has to match. As a matter of fact, décor is much more interesting if there are differences. I would use the red and blue as accents for pillows and throws too.

I would maybe paint the mantle a cream.
or maybe midtone blue. Something between navy and blue/gray quartz.
I would like blue lighting pendants at the island. Use many shades of blue in your lovely new home. Add some red or cranberry also. You can mix your metal colors.
