I would suggest hanging an art piece or a mirror on the left side to balance out that wall. A mirror would also give you the illusion of having a bigger room.

I'd do drapes, as Patricia suggests, or at least the portion from the window corner to the edge of the nightstand. Then you could add art to the left, maybe 2 stacked pictures.

I am intrigued by the drape idea...but since I didn't have any on-hand, I thought I'd try the art idea first. This raised a few questions....

What is the "center" of the room? Is it the wall, or is it the headboard? For example, am I trying to occupy roughly 46" of wall space on the left side (the same measurement as the window), or am I trying to occupy even more space to make it look like the bed is centered?

If I go with drapes...am I trying to make the brackets attach to the corners of the wall (sort of a finial-less rod?)

Yes to the brackets at the corner...since you'd probably want a matching drape on the other window you could get a corner bracket for both windows. For the left corner, it would depend if you take the drapery all the way over, or if you stop it just to the left of the headboard and then move your art work over a few inches and center it on what's remaining of the wall. Can your bed scootch any further to the right? If you go with the partially covered wall, I might look for a smaller end table for the right side of the bed, so the drapery could stop short enough to leave some more wall space for the art. Like the middle pic I posted above.

Okay, hubby gave the drapes idea a hard pass, so I'm back to using art work.

How's this? The large rectangle of tracing paper represents the Brooklyn poster above, and the poster board in the center is for some undetermined piece (or pieces of art).
