New 2018 Amaryllis Varieties

Does anyone know of any New 2018 varieties that will be offered this fall from the bulb companies? I done looked through Van Engelen, Royal Colors, and now waiting on White Flower Farms and a few other companies to list their amaryllis being offered.

Hi Ed,

I've been looking at the same companies and they all have the same 'ol stuff, but it's early and they're probably waiting for fall. Believe me I've got my peepers peeled and I'm starting to get a bit antsy too :-)))

Fred do you know when white flower farms will have their new amaryllis available on their website? Month? I am antsy as u cacan tell

Hi Ed,

They usually start around mid October to Thanksgiving so that there's enough time for Christmas blooms.

Leafari has an “updated version of dancing queen,” old time favorite of mine that is very hardy and produce huge bulbs.

I don't know if you all have seen it yet, but Royal Colors is offering Rembrandt van Rjin this year. I first seriously became interested in Hippeastrum in 2015 and it was already sold out. I have been hoping it would return if for only a season.

RVR is a beauty! It’s okay, Royal Colors will be giving me credit. I just didn’t like that somehow they removed my copyright from the photos.
