Help!!! Where to put master closet?

My husband and I are trying to figure out where would be the best place to put a built in closet in our bedroom without making the room look small. Our bed is currently facing the wall that the bedroom door opens into and our options for the closet would either be the wall next to the bed or the wall facing us. Which one should we use?Am trying to add a photo with a drawing of the room outline but can't seem to. Can someone also advise on that? Lol
