Bedroom needing make over

I have a smaller bedroom with a king bed night stand on both sides and st the foot of the bed just enough room to open drawers and get by. I want to do the room in darker browns want it warm cozy . dark walnut furniture and oatmeal coloured headboard . what can i should i do .
