Variance between instars and base color change for differing hostplants per species makes larva much more difficult to identify than adults.

It's a cherry dagger moth caterpillar. They have another instar, the last one, that's radically different from this one, it's black with red spots.

Thank you for making me feel better. I did get some flies and wasps. At least I think. I just like to know what I have around. Still looking at ladybugs, too. Even though the “lost ladybug project” from last year is probably over.
