whens the last time the media nearly dried???

it does look like too much water ...

one base problem... is how to add anything to sodden soil??? ... water sol fert??? ...

id insert finger.. monitor moisture ... and give them a couple seeks.. to see if they recover ... and if not.. just get rid of them ...

some years ... you just get rid of annuals early ... if for no other reason.. they are irritating you ...

btw ... did you use new media when you potted them..or old media??? ... it does wear out.. and one problem when it does.. is lack of the ability to water them properly ...

i surely would not spend money trying to solve the problem ... spend the money on some mums ... when they show up for sale ...

Thanks Ken. I always use a mix of old and new potting media...probably time to start fresh next spring. Not going to bother spraying. If it is a mildew problem, spraying won't help anyway...already tried it a few years ago.

I had problems with my annuals this Spring too. Bells of Ireland never grew more than 6" and got tan blotches. Nasturtiums in the window box had yellow foliage from the get-go. I decided that the potting soil was probably too rich for the Nasturtiums, but the BOI? I don't know what happened. Too much rain and then humidity didn't help I'm sure.

Undoubtedly. We had an unprecedented amount of rain this summer and very humid conditions.
