Your choices are very pretty. Sometimes understated might seem "boring" but it will be beautiful and not out of fashion in 5 years. Liven it up with towels, rugs and art and know you have a lovely background for those choices.

I recently stayed in a very nice hotel which had a full wall mirror over the vanity, with sconces installed through the mirror. It looked so nice and really added an element of glam to the space, yet was still understated. Not sure if it's something that would appeal to you.

make sure whoever installs the tile understands that whats put on the wall shows through the tiles.
