Is 120 watts or LED equivalent enough for task lighting ?

Would additional light be needed to light a medium size powder room? ( Walls are dark) If I added a flush mount ceiling fixture Or perhaps one or two recessed lights would that make the room too bright? Just do not want room to be too dim. I could put the sconces and the ceiling light on separate switches.
