Wee Waterford Vases

I bought the first one at discounted retail. Forgot where I found the second one and third one but got fourth and fifth in New Jersey for less than $20 each (and I know I didn't pay over $20 for no 2 and no 3) . . I finally got a sixth last week -- for a mere $6 at an antique mall. I use them as individual flower holders at place settings when I entertain. With only five I couldn't use them all that often (for I prefer 6 guests). Now I've got it. They're nice too for pansies or violets in the spring to have on a tabletop or night table or desk. (And yes, there are two patterns!)

One pattern is Glendore and you can buy another at $39.99 at Replacements Limited. LOL. Good buy. Don’t put them in the dishwasher and if they get cloudy, drop a denture tablet in the vase and fill with water and leave overnight.

Yes, I know I have two different patterns and actually I have different thicknesses of rims!

Those are very sweet! I love having small containers for a few flowers to tuck here and there - nightstands, bathroom counters, desk.... When I was a child my grandmother traveled quite a bit and started a collection of cream pitchers for me. She brought them back from all over the world and I use them mostly as small vases.

I put my Waterford into the dishwasher all the time....well not "All" the time, because I don't use it all the time....but I often use the on the rocks glasses and a couple of wines. Today's dishwashers are designed to wash without the caustic detergents from 30 years ago.
Water sitting for a long time in the vases does more harm than a dishwasher. I have a couple of clouded vases, but with water and flowers the clouding is invisible.
