My Germaine's Gyration is in full sun and does great.

The only caveat I can think of is that mine grows in very weird directions and does not obey any rules regarding symmetry. I wouldn't put anything too close to it for a few years until I saw what it wanted to do.

Thats why it is called 'Germaine's Gyration' :-) The branches twist and swirl around the main stem in a distinct and unusual manner.

Duh.

Just saying one should remember that in planning.
