Many here will tell you to remove the shutters completely as they are non functional and could never cover your windows entirely. I say, remove them and see if you like your home without shutters. You will have to remove them, anyway, to paint them! I like the idea of a navy blue front door, but also paint your storm door the same color. And dark gray shutters would look very nice, too. Don’t paint your shutters and your front door the same color. The focal point should be the front door. Good luck with your project!
