Hello, the wood used is reclaimed wormy chestnut.

This is a beautiful kitchen. We recently bought a mountain home and I'm getting ready to re-do the kitchen (well, not personally.) It has a wormy chestnut peninsula with a live edge. I didn't know what it was, but when I talked about removing the peninsula to open up the space the builder told me about the wood and I decided to keep it.
