Here is Mine as of Today the 15th of September

the pot is too large for it going into winter. way too easy to overwater.

here's what it might look like :) fully grown in botanical garden.

the pot is quite big here, but the plant is huge and in conservatory in very good light.

here is mine. it's in a 1" deep half-pint 4" berry container. i grow it tented in mostly perlite with sphag just on top. and water it very sparingly and still 1 rhizome managed to rot on me..

the leaves should have a LOT of serration on them.

yours are way too round for Fang.

but when it is very young the leaves are comma-shaped like yours.

Just Would Like To Get This Right...

i would definitely put it in something very shallow, like not more then 2".

that saucer looks very good, but it's too wide and it needs holes.

i find plastic grocery containers best like half-pint deli tubs : i poke holes in them :).

it looks like you transplanted it into a larger pot - so you can just shake off the loose soil but try not to disturb the root-ball or it will stall the growth.

I don't know nearly what you all do about begonias - although I have tried, I have never been really successful at it (with the exception of one, which is a monster) - but when a plant is prone to rot, I use a clay pot rather than plastic. It helps the medium dry out much more quickly. Just a thought. I might be wrong for begonias.

Carol, I also find that clay pots are the best for my begonias. They dry out much faster and I am less afraid of overwatering. Glazed pots are pretty but I spend a lot of time hovering and waiting to finally water again!
