Does this look like a pear?

I don’t think it’s an apple, I get a pear vibe from it.

It has ping pong ball size fruit, most are smaller at the top, and are round on the bottom, it has small leaves.

cut in half it just smells green if it is a pear it's not ripe yet.

I thought maybe it was Pyrus pyraster (European wild pear), but it has no thorns and

It’s growing along an old trolley track, so it’s probably a volunteer from someone throwing out a pear.
