Many people use oil rubbed bronze for their kitchen fixtures including the faucet. It's going to be one of the more expensive finishes if you want a higher quality faucet with a better finish.

I am using an oil rubbed bronze finish for my faucet - Kohler Artifacts because I want a slightly period look but there are quality kitchen faucets with more contemporary styles.

You should start a thread specifically asking about recommendations for oil rubbed bronze kitchen faucets in order to get more advice because your topic is way to vague and many people wouldn't bother to even read it.

You would not ever want to do an ORB hood. And ORB is only suited to some traditionalists homes. It looks out of place just stuck in willy nilly.

Oil Rubbed Bronze looks great in kitchens with white/cream colored or light stained cabinets, that finish can add a really classy look to a kitchen. If you are looking for knob and pull suggestions i would check out Century Hardware! Century has a large variety of Oil Rubbed Bronze to choose from ranging from modern to rustic. I have had an ORB kitchen faucet for years (with a white sink) and it's been absolutely perfect. No difference in the finish today vs when it was installed. I have not babied it. I would actually reuse it in the upcoming kitchen reno, but I'm switching the finishes....my point is that it's still in such great shape.

We put ORB fixtures when we remodeled our master bathroom in 2006. Faucets, shower doors, tub/shower fixtures, towel bars and cabinet knobs are all ORB. The only things that changed colors a bit are the knobs, but they were cheap ones from Target so I'm not surprised they don't look exactly like they did on day 1. The faucet and tub fixtures are Delta and look exactly the same and this is a bathroom that gets a ton of use (our teenagers use it too). ORB does show some water spots (we have hard water) but my brushed nickel fixtures show it worse.
