Help have A brownish spot/patch on Dendrobium stalk

Hi,
I am a beginner Dendrobium grower. I have recently purchased a Dendrobium Nopporn Pink 'White Mutation' Orchid. I have noticed a brown patch and a brown spot on the stalk and was wondering if I should be concerned. The brown patch encircles the entire stalk. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have that on a few of my orchids. was wondering about it myself. my orchids seem to not be bothered by it though. If I had more time I would peruse the St Augustine society newsletter online as there is a section for frequently asked questions about pests and viruses that is extremely helpful.

As long as your den is stable & dark spot isn't mushy i wouldn't worry.
