This house in Red Bank, NJ was inherited by our client. Her request was to transform her childhood kitchen into her dream cooking / dining space.

The demolition of the walls that separated the kitchen the living room, resulted in an open floor plan. The removal of the dropped ceiling in the kitchen expanded the height of the space to the roof-line.

The slate gray back-splash porcelain tile that was selected has a random pattern mixed with a solid field tile and an embossed patterned textured tile. Extending the back-splash material to ceiling showcased the real beauty of the material.

I really like the idea of extending the backsplash all the way up to the ceiling. The entire space looks very airy and beautiful.

On-the-fly, first impression: maybe paint the end cap of the fridge to match end of the island...? Provide a little definition to the space? But it is great-looking.
