Thinking of placing 3 or 4 LED recessed canned lights down the center of a vaulted ceiling (scissor trusses), as opposed to on the slant of the ceiling (new construction.) Because there is a peak in the middle of the vault, we are thinking of putting a 4' flat section across that and mount the lights in the middle. This makes it appear more like a cambered truss rather than scissor truss. We're considering this option as the glare from the lights in this position seems less obtrusive than from the slant of the ceiling (even with dimmer.) Room size is about 24' x 24', wall height is 8', vault height is 4'. Haven't seen examples of this method, so are open to comments! Thanks all!
