My understanding is that these highly unusual colors are not genuine.. Although one must also take into account that true colors often are not accurately depicted by a camera as well.. I have noticed that many adenium photos do not show accurate colors because you can see that leaf colors are often too yellow or too blue and that of course means that the flower colors are "off" as well.. I always take this into account when selecting internet seeds.. Always be prepared for surprises but be smart too in what you decide to buy.

It looks like someone flipped the photo upside down and blackened the colors. I tried looking to see where that photo came from but came up empty-handed.

It even looks like the pink version is photoshopped. Sigh.

Think that's bad? Try searching eBay for Lycoris (I was hunting L. chinensis). Some of the most ridiculously impossible flower colors I've ever seen.

How about the rainbow colored roses one may see on "fleaBay"? :-)

I don't trust the photos they posted when selling the seeds. You'll never get the same flowers! The only way to get the flowers you want is - buy the plant in bloom, even for more money, but you know what's your buying.

Buying seed is always a crap-shoot. With all the mixed genetics of modern cultivars, there is less chance of you matching the parent from seed than there is of your fingerprints matching mine. You purchase seed based on POSSIBLE inclusion of certain assets like color or shape but it's still a genetic lottery.

Either way its not something I would want.

Candice, that purple and white bloom looks like Doksawai. I planted seeds for that one and only got single pinks x 12. I don't think Doksawai is a real bloom either. The fakes are everywhere.
