Hi,

I just closed a brand new house and I want to upgrade a fire place wall and I am thinking something like model house(Plz see below photo.)

I have been there but it has been sold so I can't stop by again.

For this type of project, do tiles need to be installed first and then the wood mantles? Or vice versa? (by the way, it is about 20 feet high ceiling.) I think it will look better if tiles go first but it might make carpenter's job more difficult.
