Golden Hahnii issues

I don't currently have a picture of this but I pulled my Golden Hahnii in from the sun because the leaves started to curl up. I wasn't sure what may be causing it... too much intense sun, too much water?!?! If any of you have ever seen a spider curl up a leaf to make a web, this is almost what the leaves looked like on the plant. Have any of you ever had this issue or seen it occur before? I'll try to post a photo in a little bit.

Well, not knowing what caused it, I did move it to a shadier spot automatically. I had it where it shouldn't get afternoon sun because I thought that the variegation might be a little more sensitive. It was however beside the brick house which may have caused it to get a little hotter than it would've liked (maybe leading to drying out faster). I watered it heavily after your suggestions, I'll keep an eye on it... I don't want to lose the 4 pups that popped up under it this year. Not a bad find for a CVS Pharmacy buy.

To me it looks dried out...........that is there is not enough moisture in the leaves. If there was indeed too much sun there would be bleached, "sunburned" area. Perhaps the sun was causing the plant to lose more water than it could replace. In summer (when warm) I drench my hahnis pretty often as the small pots they are in dry quickly. They don't seem to mind. How are the roots on this plant? I would water it more frequently it may take a little time to rehydrate.

Yes and added to this, keep in a shady spot until it has a chance to recover.

Looks good otherwise. No brown spots or like Woodnative said bleaching.

WN, Are these out side in rain? Water in the crown doesn't seem to effect it? I know my big sans are in the rain a lot and water in the crown seems to drain away very well but not so in my hahnii group.

Well, both my golden hahnii and my solid gold bounced back considerably after I watered them well enough. I just got so used to being able to neglect the other types that I didn't realize I wasn't watering these guys enough.

Robdb8 when I first really got "into" Sans some time ago Russ H. on this forum sent me a few beautiful young plants.....types I had never seen in person before then when I only knew the common big box store trifasciata. I was so cautious about overwatering them I ended up doing the same and most ended up wrinkling. They were in small clay pots in a room at work where the heat ran regularly and I soon realized I had to soak them pretty thorougly at least twice a week.

Stush.....yeah in the summer I leave them out in pouring rain, never had rot. Of course this weekend has been quite cool........
